Welcome to
Wisconsin girl. Oklahoma life. Dogs, cats, code & a whole lot of dirt under my fingernails.
Home sweet Southern home β after 40+ years in Wisconsin, we traded snowblowers for tornado sirens.
Jim is my soulmate, best friend, and the love of my life.
Dogs who think they're people. Cats who know they run the show. A full house and a full heart.
Building healthcare tech at CoverMyMeds by day. Talking to AI like it's a colleague by night.
Home & Heart
Two Wisconsin transplants who followed the warm weather and never looked back (well, almost never β we do miss Friday Fish Fry).
Jim is my person. Full stop. They say good things come to those who wait, and every single day with him confirms it was worth it. He calls me the "one" and his "better half" β I'm just grateful he thinks so. π
We landed in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and it suits us well enough. The weather is warm (very warm β did I mention the heat?), we have more space than we ever did up north, and our little piece of land has become our sanctuary.

Pure love in fur form. Professional treat requesters. Excellent at making everything better after a tough standup meeting.
Good boys/girls βSupreme household rulers. Selectively affectionate. They'd probably walk across my keyboard during deployments if I ever gave them the chance β which I absolutely do not.
Chaos agents πCats > Dogs > Humans. At least that's what the cats have decided. The dogs are in negotiation. Jim and I have accepted our roles.
Happy chaos πDirt Therapy
There is absolutely nothing more grounding than getting your hands in the dirt after a day of debugging code.
Oklahoma summers are not for the faint of heart. Hot, humid, and relentless. I've discovered plants here that don't exist in Wisconsin.
There is no better feeling than walking to your back yard, picking a tomato still warm from the sun, and eating it right there on the spot. Southern living right there.
Learning to work with Oklahoma's climate instead of fighting it. Native plants, drought-tolerant beauties, and a healthy respect for the heat index.
We've got plans, y'all. Trees, paths, a porch that makes you want to sit and do absolutely nothing. The good life.
"In Wisconsin, you garden for 4 months. In Oklahoma, you garden for 8. My Wisconsin brain still hasn't caught up." β Mrs. Fischer, probably every spring
By Day (and honestly, sometimes by night)
Senior Software Engineer at CoverMyMeds (part of McKesson). Healthcare tech, Ruby on Rails, and a deep appreciation for AI that actually helps you ship.
I started my career building PHP/MySQL websites back when JavaScript was written by hand and APIs were something you had to beg for documentation on. Now I'm building backend services and APIs in Ruby on Rails at CoverMyMeds, part of McKesson Corporation β a medication access company committed to helping people get the medicine they need to live healthier lives.
Over 23 years in the web industry, I've worn every hat: solo freelancer, team member, mentor, and now senior engineer at a Fortune 10 company. That journey from shared hosting to Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker? It's been a trip.
My favorite part of the job is still the same as it's always been: solving real-world problems with the logic and language of the web. That, and the teammates. Good teammates make everything better.
View My Portfolio βI use AI tools as a real coding partner β not just autocomplete. Faster iteration, smarter debugging, better documentation. This very website was built with AI assistance. The future is collaborative, and I'm here for it.
Once a Cheesehead, always a Cheesehead
Forty years in Wisconsin leaves a mark. I may live in Oklahoma now, but Wisconsin is baked into my DNA like a Friday night fish fry.
Transplanted with love
Don't be a stranger
Whether you want to talk code, swap gardening tips, or compare notes on what it's like to trade Wisconsin winters for Oklahoma summers, I'd love to hear from you.
